The name

The exclamation "Herrschaftszeiten" has nothing to do with the time of rule, but rather means "Herr schau auf'd Seitn" – which means that the Lord should not look quite so closely at a later, more convivial hour. So, "Herr schau auf die Seite" (Lord, look to the side).

history

We are a traditional tavern with a history dating back to 1524. Over the centuries, our building has had various owners and undergone numerous changes. In 1612, it was first converted into a tavern, and in 1758, the innkeeper Bögner acquired the property and renamed it "Bögner im Tal" (Bögner in the Valley). In 1921, the Paulaner Brewery took over the tavern and has operated it ever since. After extensive renovations in the 1990s, "Paulaner im Tal" was run by tavern keeper Putzi Holenia until May 2020. After more than 25 years, the tavern underwent a complete renovation and reopened on March 3, 2022, under a new name and with a fresh look as "Herr'schafts'zeiten – Das Paulaner im Tal" (Lord's Times – The Paulaner in the Valley).
